Soundcloud is very much YouTube, Twitter and Facebook – forever the target of designer’s ideas and thoughts about how to improve their site and apps. Despite Soundcloud’s ease of use with their new site, many people still feel dissatisfied with the site and see many areas for improvement. One of these is Harbr Co., a group of designers and developers from the USA.
Completely redesigning the Soundcloud experience, from the logo to the website, Harbr have focused on presenting a much simpler site for users to search and use the site. With music controls visible and yet out of the way, intelligent search and comprehensive tags Harbr have done a great job in designing a much newer and fresher experience for Soundcloud and I would love to see this version in action.
