MTV has a huge online presence, trying to recapture the effect the channel had on the TV market in the 1980s but with the rise of Myspace, Facebook and YouTube however, the site is more of a news feed for their reality shows than a hive of activity for music and videos. That said, a lot of stuff is on there and with a new update, is quite presentable and modern. That hasn’t stopped
by Aykut Yilmaz from designing how own version though.

Ayjut’s version of MTV is a simple, effective and attractive vision of the MTV site and takes out a lot of the clutter, organises the content in a way that engages the user and still includes things like an SEO-friendly footer. What’s even more impressive is the use of colour and blocks for the navigation, which would also scale really well for mobile and tablets. All in all, a great vision of a popular website, exactly what this site is all about!
