iTunes for both Windows and Mac OSX is like Marmite – either you love it or hate it. Personally, I like it but my problems are more to do with under the hood and not its visual appearance. The latest switch to a cleaner interface and improvement for browsing, the app store and music layout are all great touches, even if not perfect.

Ramil Derogongun‘s attempt at an iTunes overhaul is a great vision for the app design, which captures Apple’s design essence from the new iOS 7 but still keeping the layout familiar and easy to use. An easier to see and read info panel is a step away from Apple’s version, and the inclusion of a better focus on icons for views is a great touch.
